  • seda logoThe Intellectual Property Office (IPO) Philippines has recently approved the registration of the SEDA logo. In a certification dated 14 November 2008, the IPO registered the logo under class 45 pertaining to legal services.

  • IPO logoThe Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPO) conducted a Seminar/Training on Online and Electronic Trademark Filing on 31 March 2009. It was conducted by the Bureau of Trademarks for members of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) of which SEDALAW is a member.

  • The partners of the Averilla Defensor & Enrile Law (SEDALAW) are pleased to announce that effective 01 January 2009, Attys. Mark C. Aldave and Archivald F. De Mata have been promoted as senior associate lawyers of the Firm.
     

  • E-commerce transactions in the Philippines are becoming more common than it was several years back. Given this trend, the Philipine government, acting through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) issued Joint Department Administrative Order (JDAO) 01 which prescribes the “rules and regulations for consumer protection in a transaction covered by the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394) through electronic means under the E-Commerce Act (R.A. 8792).”
